Walt, thank u so much for putting these on. Sooooo many good picks. Been building a playlist and huge thanks to Rob Levin for the heavy lifting to date!
Biograph Vinyl? The first modern box set! Another thing I inherited from my Dad. Classical music and Bob Dylan. My hippie uncle who died before I was born turned my Dad onto Dylan because he thought he'd appreciate the lyrics. My dad was obsessed. Every new album immediately purchased and played incessantly. Biograph dropped when I was 10, and although I knew the big albums at that point, Biograph exposed me to every album in his catalog up to that point (23 albums in 23 years!).
This one unlocked some adolescent memories. I wish I knew about the band Fanny back then. You convinced me to give The Grateful Dead a chance...at some point... when I can time to swim instead of drown...
Wow! Thanks, Walt! This really takes me back. "The Soft Parade" was the first record my childhood best friend, Mark, and I listened to when we were five years-old. I think it belonged to his older brother. We memorized all the lyrics. So surreal to listen to 40 years later. I really enjoyed the rock n roll episode. I can't wait for my favorite rock bank, The Walkmen, to come to town in September!

Biograph vinyl yes! Dad and uncle sound like they had great taste. I love Biograph. Kinda an odd collection of songs and so cool.
