This mid-week episode is something a little different — the first installment of a subscribers-only series about songwriters, and I have to say, this one genuinely surprised me.
Dewayne Blackwell is a name you almost certainly don’t know. I didn’t really know it either, until I started pulling on a thread after last week’s conversation with Gretchen Christopher of The Fleetwoods. And once I started pulling, I couldn’t stop.
I don’t want to give it all away but it turns out this fella’s DNA is all over some of my favorite music.
