I fully agreed with your 2024 assessment, and unfortunately remain an un-evolved John snob, who loves George and wishes he could have partied with Ringo.

Are you planning to watch the new Paul documentary about his post-Beatles life and times?

Haha yeah im still a John snob too but I have softened a lot about Paul actually. And yes I saw the new Paul doc last week when it was in the theater for a day. Doing an episode about it — and all things Paul - next week. Should be fun.

Some of Paul's best songs are John songs. Strawberry Fields Forever. Tomorrow Never Knows. Etc.

The funniest thing to me is that I remember listening to this, thinking it was not a great showing from you, but now that I've re-listened to it... I'm not sure I have any real arguments with it LOL

lots to discuss tomorrow

ok not to be too much of a devil on the shoulder but this is still one of my favorite episodes. you're just saying what we're all thinking. i can admit that paul has his merits (and i do unconditionally love RAM and even golden slumbers, wild i know) but that adolescent john/george-over-everything loyalty runs deep. my evolved brain knows it's not a competition... supposedly. anyway just here to encourage the immature wisecracking. paul's all right i guess

Ok yes agree. The new Paul doc made me like him more (as a person). He was more humble and honest than usual in it which makes it easier not to just reflexively dislike his music. I still struggle with much of his solo output but I’ve come to like the first two albums.

Loved this episode so much! I’m always trying to reconcile Paul, too.
