Hi - I apologize for the utter weirdness, randomness, and juvenile bathroom humor etc., of last week’s episode. I hope everyone had a good laugh at my expense.

As part of our deal, I’ve put together a 6-hour, handmade playlist of driving songs—some extremely useful music for your summer highway adventures.

Much like last week’s episode, we begin in the morning with a few optimistic songs of hope and possibility. From there, we shift into some anthemic American rock ’n’ roll, then cruise into the afternoon with a dose of antisocial psychedelic biker rock. As the shadows grow longer, we settle into some heartfelt heartland country, and finally, we close the day under the stars with some gentle story-songs.

I know I’ll be listening to this thing a lot till September, and I’m sure it will grow as the summer unfolds. Safe travels.
