Stream last week’s Walter Martin Radio Hour: The Bob Dylan Goosechase

So glad people enjoyed last week’s Bob Dylan Goosechase Episode. I had a great time making it. So, for this week, I thought it’d be fun to share a playlist of all the songs we heard last week, plus all the additional songs we discussed, plus a smattering of relevant tracks to help bring the whole “adventure” to life.

Leonard Cohen and Phil Spector just after another trip to John and Pete’s liquor store, 1976

I got a few notes from Bob Dylan bootleg nerds who’d actually heard Bob’s studio recording of Yesterday that I played, but, as of now, no one has come forward claiming to have heard the other studio oddities in there: the covers of Help (The Beatles ) and Da Doo Ron Ron (The Crystals), and the early 70s Nashville versions of Song to Woody and Mama You Been on My Mind.

Bob Dylan and Doug Sahm, 1972

If you have heard these recordings before (or you know anyone who has heard them), now is the time to step forward.

John Lennon and Bob Dylan, 1965

And I got a bunch of nice notes from organ players/organ enthusiasts sharing their love for the one and only Augie Meyers.

Lots of him on this playlist.

Bob Dylan with band, 1997 (Augie Meyers at the Vox Continental)

I have a very fun idea for this Friday’s episode so keep your eyes peeled.

And, yes, it’s still Bob Dylan season around here, so get comfortable.
