Listen to last week’s special episode: Ok Let’s Talk About Pop Radio

I’m glad people are enjoying last week’s episode about pop radio. I definitely laughed hard while going through all that stuff. It was a goddamn hoot to remember all the great (and not great) music my daughters have subjected me to.

Demi Lovato

Honestly, for the past few days, I’ve had Sorry Not Sorry playing on repeat in my head and it’s been fantastic.

So with pop music in mind, I wanted to present a long playlist of my favorite pop song from every year of my life (1974-2025). A long, weird trip down memory lane.

Oak Ridge Boys (“Elvira”)

It was very hard to pick just one song for each year—especially in the 1970s, 1980s, 2010s and 2020s. But there were also a few years (early 1990s?, early 2000s?) where it was kinda tricky to find a real gem.

Foreigner (“I Want to Know What Love Is”)

I’d highly recommend making one of these playlists for yourself—it’s weird and interesting to listen to it all in order and sort of go through each year of your life. Pop songs really do bring up so many unexpected memories

TLC (“Waterfalls”)

Oh also! I set up a Tidal account so I’m going to make a Tidal version of this playlist available—in addition to the regular Apple, Spotify ones. I’ll add Tidal versions for all the older playlists too, just gimme a minute..

Christine Aguilera (“Beautiful”)
Post Malone (“Sunflower”)

Enjoy the music and remember to listen to it loud.
