Jim Windolf joins me today for a lively conversation about two Radio Hour favorites: Bob Dylan and The Beatles.

Jim is Features Editor at New York Times. On April 15, Simon & Schuster is releasing his fascinating new book: Where the Music Had to Go: How Bob Dylan and the Beatles Changed Each Other—and the World.

You may have seen Jim’s feature in The New York Times last Sunday about Dylan and John Lennon’s infamous 1966 limo ride.

Jim and I could have talked for days. And yes, we get into it all: Bob’s influence on the Beatles, the Beatles’ influence on Bob, the real story behind “Norwegian Wood” and “4th Time Around,” the friendship and rivalry, and of course… what actually happened in that limo ride between John and Bob.

What fun. Thanks, Jim!
